Anne Melville Podiatry – Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Anne Melville Podiatry for your treatment and foot health care.
Our priority is delivering the highest standard of personalised, professional care in a safe and supportive environment.

Please read these Terms carefully. They are designed to give you clarity, confidence, and peace of mind. If you have any questions, please contact us at any time.


1. General Terms & Conditions for All Patients

1.1 Agreement

These Terms form the agreement between you and Anne Melville Podiatry.
By registering with us and attending appointments, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Where there is any conflict between these Terms and any other document, these Terms take precedence. Our Privacy Policy applies alongside these Terms.

1.2 Your Treatment Plan

Your clinician will carry out an assessment to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for you.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your treatment plan accurately reflects your wishes and the discussions held during your consultation.

1.3 Payments & Deposits

After your initial consultation:

You may be asked to:

(a) pay the full amount if treatment is due within 5 working days

(b) pay any fees not covered by your insurer or third-party funder

(c) pay a deposit toward your care

(d) settle any insurance shortfall if applicable

1.4 Updated Terms

Terms may be updated occasionally. Any changes will apply to future appointments only; ongoing treatment plans will not be affected.


1.5 Consultants & Clinicians

You will be under the care of a clinician employed by Anne Melville Podiatry.
All clinicians maintain their own professional registration and medical indemnity insurance.

Anne Melville Podiatry is not liable for any act or omission of independent practitioners but will always support you in resolving concerns.


1.6 Clinical Risk

All clinical procedures carry some degree of risk.
Results cannot be guaranteed.
If you have questions or concerns, please discuss them with your clinician.


1.7 Fees & Payments

Standard Rates

Unless a fixed-price package or membership is agreed, standard Anne Melville Podiatry rates apply.

Payment Terms

Payment must be made:

when booking

at the clinic

or immediately after the appointment

OR in accordance with an agreed payment plan

Payment plan cancellations will require the remaining balance to be settled in full.

Cash

Debit card

Credit card

Bank transfer

We do not accept cheques.


1.8 Cancellation, Refunds & Non-Attendance

Cancellations

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.

Late cancellations or missed appointments will incur the full appointment fee.

Any bespoke items ordered on your behalf (e.g., orthoses, devices) will also be chargeable in full.

Refunds

Refunds will be made:

only to the original cardholder

by electronic transfer

minus any outstanding balance or costs incurred

We do not issue cash refunds.

If Your Clinician Cancels

If treatment is cancelled for clinical reasons and fees have been paid, we will refund the appropriate amount in line with the above policy.

Rescheduling

We are happy to reschedule any appointment.
Please contact us as soon as possible.

Repeat Non-Attendance

Persistent failure to attend may result in no further appointments being offered.


1.9 Children’s Appointments

Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Parents/guardians signing consent on behalf of a child accept full responsibility for payment and compliance with these Terms.


1.10 Confidentiality & Data Protection

We respect your privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Your data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Please inform us immediately if your contact details change.


1.11 Assignment

Anne Melville Podiatry may transfer this agreement if the business is acquired by another provider.


1.12 Third-Party Rights

These Terms apply only to you, Anne Melville Podiatry, and any insurer or sponsor involved. No other party has rights under this agreement.


2. Patients Using Medical Insurance

2.1 Before Your Appointment

If paying through insurance, you must contact your insurer before treatment to confirm your cover.

You must provide:

insurer name

membership/registration number

level of cover

scheme details

pre-authorisation code

2.2 Sponsors

Where a sponsor (e.g., employer) agrees to fund your care, written authorisation must be received at least 5 working days before your appointment.


2.3 Payment Responsibility

You remain responsible for payment of all fees.

If your insurer or sponsor does not settle the invoice within 30 days, the balance becomes payable by you immediately.

What Insurance May Not Cover

complications or follow-up treatment

devices/equipment (orthoses, crutches, off-loading boots)

part-payments for certain procedures

additional procedures not authorised

You will be required to pay for any non-covered costs.

TREATMENTS & SERVICES

All of our clinicians are fully registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and provide evidence-based care for all foot and lower limb conditions, following the latest clinical guidance and using advanced technology.

Transparent, premium plans

Comprehensive Assessment

One-hour diagnostic appointment including gait analysis, pressure mapping and personalised treatment plan. Ideal for first-time clients seeking a clear route to long-term comfort.

Orthotics Package

Custom orthotics package with measurement, manufacturing and two follow-ups. Premium materials and expedited delivery for active lifestyles and professional needs.
